Hi! I'm Kyoko. A Japanese photographer and art director who has lived in France since 2006. I received MFA from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Montpellier Public Art University) in Montpellier, Southern France, in 2013. After graduation, I moved to Paris, where I have been working on contemporary art projects while bouncing back and forth between Japan and France as an artist-photographer, filmmaker, and curator. At the same time, while working for an airline travel agency, I absorbed the spirit of Paris while learning about the key points of travel and sightseeing in France.
After Covid-time, with all its twists and turns, I began to think that I would like to help those who come to enjoy France to make their happy moments even more memorable by using the advantages I have cultivated in the art and tourism industries.
The story behind Studio Mökki is that mökki means a small cabin near a lake in Finnish language. In summer, we have the longest day of the year in Europe, especially north Europe. Till 10pm we can enjoy the sun and people can stay outside. And it is the most beautiful season in Finland. Mökki exists as an essential place to stay and enjoy sunny delightful moments. We borrowed this name from our second home, Finland. My partner is from the country.

2006年からフランス在住。南仏のモンペリエにあるモンペリエ公立美術大学（École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts）で美術の修士号を2013年に取得。卒業後は、パリに引っ越し、アーティストとして、映像作家として、キュレーターとして日本フランスを拠点に行き来しながら、現代美術、写真映像のプロジェクトを行ってきました。その傍ら、航空系の旅行会社でも勤務しながら、フランス旅行のポイントや観光についても学びつつ、パリのエスプリを吸収していきました。
コロナ時代を経て、紆余曲折しながらも、美術と観光業で培った利点を活かして、フランスを満喫するためにやってくる方々の幸せなひとときがより一層、記憶に強く残るようお手伝いができたらと考えるようになりました。
Studio mökki スタジオムッキの経緯ですが、mökki（ムッキ）はフィンランド語で夏の憩いの場としての湖の近くにある小さな家を意味します。１年の中で最も日の長い夏はフィンランドでは最も美しい季節で、余暇を満喫するための生きていく上で欠かせない場所としてmökki（ムッキ）が存在してます。第２の故郷であるフィランドからこの名前を拝借しました。
